About Susan
I am currently a graduate student in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Seattle Pacific University. For the past 18 years, I have worked as a real estate agent helping individuals, couples and families find their unique place to grow and thrive. I am married with two teenage children and understand the challenges working parents face. I come to this work with a genuine desire to help people create connection and have more fulfilling lives.
Approach
To create a warm and welcoming environment for my clients to process their life experiences free of judgement and discrimination. Being human requires us to go through hard things and I strive to be a safe refuge when life feels chaotic. I view therapy through a holistic lens incorporating mind, body, and spiritual practices to address the challenges my clients face. I believe that my clients are the experts in their lives, and my role is to actively listen and help to uncover their unique strengths and resilience. As a systemic family therapist, I gravitate towards concepts from Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy to guide my sessions with clients.
Details
I accept most Washington State Insurance Plans as well as an out of network rate of $40 per hour.
