At its most joyful, I believe life is filled with learning, loving, and being present in the moment and our bodies. And yet, it took me 30+ years and many therapy sessions to get there (sometimes!). I hold a BS in Psychology from UC Davis, an MBA from UC Berkeley and am currently pursuing my MS in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University. I’ve worked in finance, management consulting, and founded, ran, and sold The Fantasy Box- a couples’ service that helps thousands of relationships reconnect, communicate, and explore their intimate horizons. As a highly-sensitive person and mother to a premature, neurodivergent child, I’ve traveled the roads of loss, infertility and learning how to parent in gentle, creative, non-traditional ways. I believe strongly in our innate ability to heal, blossoming at the intersection of secure relationships, mind, body, and spirit. I am a doula, Certified Lactation Counselor, 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with specializations in Children’s Yoga, Trauma-Informed Yoga and Yoga Nidra as well as a Certified Mindfulness, Meditation and Ayurvedic Nutrition Coach. I speak Spanish and Portuguese, have completed eight marathons, and Ironman New Zealand.
I meet each child, teen, adult, couple or family where they are, in that moment, and adapt my approach to what feels best to them. I employ a warm, whole-person approach focused on relationships and mind-body health. I have a strong somatic focus and integrate sensory experiences for decreasing negative feelings, increasing regulation, building interoception, healing trauma and ultimately, helping you step fully into your wild, beautiful life. I am trained in Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy, Internal Family Systems (Self-led parts work), Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy, AutPlay (a play therapy approach for neurodivergent kids and families), Sand Tray Therapy, and am learning Somatic EMDR. Our sessions might focus on conversations about self-exploration, connection, relationships, and vulnerability. They may also include breath work, body sensing, art, sand tray, walking outside, yoga, vocalizing and dance breaks. You are warmly invited to explore my sand tray miniatures collection, art supplies, lending library, and “comfort closet” of soft blankets, stuffies, candles, essential oils, meditation cushions, eye pillows, and more. This is your time and your space; I am here to help guide you through the hard work so you can experience the bliss of just “being."
