Laurée Luyet, MA Candidate

    I am a therapist intern in my final year at Seattle University, with nearly two decades of experience supporting children, families, and individuals as a middle school teacher, a parent, and a community volunteer.

I'm especially drawn to work on the parent-child relationship across the lifespan: couples navigating the transition to parenthood, parents struggling with the non-stop demands of raising kids, neurodivergent kids and teens learning to relate to a world that doesn’t always understand them, and adult children working to heal or make sense of relationships within their families of origin, including family estrangement. I believe healing in these relationships can happen at any age.

My lived experiences have taught me the tremendous ways parenting reshapes lives and relationships. I also know that not every parent has the same experience: when your kids have bigger support needs, you can feel like you’re navigating a different world. Within couples and families, my focus is helping you get beneath surface-level frustrations to identify your bigger goals of feeling seen, valued, loved, and respected. My own upbringing also shaped a real interest and comfort working with those in intercultural relationships, including mixed faith relationships and immigrant families.

Laurée accepts Premera as well as most Washington State insurance plans. She offers an out of network rate of $60 per hour.
