I am a third-generation therapist with a master’s degree in literature and a second master’s in marriage and family therapy from Seattle Pacific University. Before becoming a therapist, I taught English composition and literature at Central Washington University and Pierce College. I loved working with students from all walks of life, and it was a privilege to be able to foster student growth, witness “aha moments,” and share my love of writing. As much as I enjoyed teaching, I found that what I loved most was working one-on-one with people.
My approach to therapy is holistic and client-centered with a focus on human potential, self-discovery, and strengths. As a systems therapist, I believe that relationships tell the story of our lives and make us who we are. I bring openness, respect, curiosity, and humility to my work with clients. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space for genuine connection and growth. I am keenly aware of the privilege of being invited into the worlds of my clients, and it is my pleasure to walk beside people as they explore who they are in terms of relationships, values, aspirations, spirituality, and all that makes life personally meaningful.
