I grew up in a conservative, religious household (while not being religious) and was on active duty in the Coast Guard. I later pursued organic farming. Over the last decade, I have served as a co-owner of a cooperative. Through these contexts, I learned the difference between prescriptive morals and agency, the use and abuse of power, the impact that our connection to Earth has and to hold a clear vision for what humane business can look like. Through each context, my main interest has been that of my relationship to life itself (and to the conditions affecting it). Because of this, I enjoy the feeling of poise found through dancing with gravity and weightlessness.
We are shaped by the natural and constructed environments we are exposed to or kept from. I focus on the relationships brought into the space – this includes the relationship between therapist and client, between members of a partnership or between a client and someone (or something) within themself or outside the therapy room. Sometimes, these environments can place burdens on who we are and how we show up for others that we care so deeply for. I primarily use Internal Family Systems and Narrative Therapy from a feminist and queer perspective to help clients reshape the community of care surrounding their heart. I hope to be a resource for you as you seek clarity, discernment and aid during what feels difficult right now.
I accept Coordinated Care, Community Health Plan of Washington, and Ambetter Washington State Insurance Plans as well as an out of network rate of $60 per hour.
