Alannah is completing her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. She has previously worked in a clinical role with youth and young adults experiencing homelessness and has also supported teens in an inpatient setting and children in the foster care system.
She has experience supporting clients through life stressors such as anxiety, adjustments and transitions, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ related issues, grief, trauma, and relationship challenges. She currently works with teens, adults, couples, families, and children. She particularly enjoys working with teens and young adults at our Gig Harbor location and appreciates clients who are committed to moving forward in pursuit of their therapeutic goals.
Alannah primarily operates from a humanistic framework and has an integrative approach to therapy. She is particularly interested in person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and ecotherapy.
She tailors her approach to the unique needs of each client. She believes that every person has the capacity to grow and make positive change. She views the therapist's role as a facilitator in a client's journey towards personal growth that empowers them to access the wisdom and strength already within them. She prioritizes authenticity, empathy, and meeting the client where they are at.
Alannah accepts most Washington State Insurance Plans as well as an out of network rate of $40 per hour.
